POEME ROMÂNESTI ÎN LIMBI STRĂINE

Niculina OPREA

Into the light that has extinguished

Into the light that has extinguished
Dark bottons
Share in two hemispheres both life and death
I dedicate myself, alternately, to each of them

Willingly, I come back to the balance between
the bones of each second, I jump
over so many cruelties
the body flutters like the snake skin

mystery remains unsealed
Into the light already extinguished both Horia and Ioan
raise their shoulders

Beginning of a new road and forgetfulness

Clear waters steal the veil of the bride
shoulders,
bosoms
eyes
are empty

he tells a love poem
each night he brought light into my house
his belief ennobles the essences
he has offered me the ressurection when I was ready
to overturn the cup filled with unction

my bed smells of freshly mown grass
it is the beginning of a new road and forgetfulness.

The sound of the flute

Remember the sound of the flute and the refuge
                    of our mornings
father was toiling on the scaffolding of time
mother was bringing her dying life within a cup
take it, pur it on the chess table! –

his tongue shrank uttering these words
the blooded queen bears the flute sound
among the tobs.

My sister breaks the silence

In the attic body which
uselessly lays its shadow I hear the turmoiled blood
as flowing between my hands
It is a time good for revenge
my sister breaks the silence, she is fluttering like
                    a fire tongue

I gather the remnants of the night, I am their slave
blind and obedient

my sister breaks the glasses that point to the death eye
hidden into the mother’s womb
She is fluttering like a fire tongue.

The cameraman workshop
The cameraman workshop has vanished
On an invisible wall an invisible mirror keeps
my childhood face
white ribbons tied round the braids
they wave a cosmic love

I kneel on the pavement as black as death
someone from within whispers:
umbria, umbria, it’s time to give in

I am moving towards the realm where is no
shiver
or purple,
neither generosity.
